Eye Shadow Look Of The Week

This is the Eye Shadow Look that I decided to use as an inspiration for my "Eye Shadow look of the week".  This is something that I stumbled across on Pinterest the other day and loved it for so many reasons. First of all I love how it can be worn in so many different ways, literally from morning until night.  I also love how it is a fairly easy look to accomplish with just a few steps. Some looks that you find on Pinterest are definitely a little more tricky so I thought for my first Eye Shadow Look Of The Week I would do something a little easier!  I'll show you how I used this look for inspiration for my makeup today! Let me know what you think and share with me your results!

The first step is applying a silver eyeshadow to your lid starting from the beginning and ending about halfway.  At the half way point you want to go a little darker, and find more of a gray shade and start working that from the middle of your lid to the outer corner of your eye.  This is going to help create the transition from the light to dark.  Don't worry the look will come more together once we start the fun part, adding the purple!!

When looking for a purple eye shadow there are really no limitations. Choose whatever color works best for you and that you feel comfortable with!  I mixed a couple of my favorite purples together for my look!  I used a medium purple and mixed it with a darker purple with pink tones!  Using your brush you want to start blending the purple eye shadow in with the darker gray that we applied.  You want to blend the purple from the middle of your lid to the outer corner of your eye and also blending it slightly above your crease.  After you have done this step, if you really want to achieve the Pinterest look it is important to find a highlighter or an eye shadow that can work as a highlighter.  With this look there is definitely a lot of shimmer going on!  With your brush you want to take a highlighter and blend it from the beginning of your lid above your crease and work it right up under your brow bone, this is really going to help your look come together! Next you want to take the purple eye shadow and apply that underneath your lower lash line.  This is going to help you achieve the somewhat smokey eye from the Pinterest Picture.

The next step is eyeliner.  For this specific look a liquid eyeliner is going to be your best choice.  This helps give you the ability to really play with the shape and thickness of your eyeliner and help you better achieve this look.  You want to start by creating a medium/thick line above your upper lash line with your eyeliner and then fill it in.  Use the picture as a tool to help you get a better idea as to what thickness and shape to use.

After this step you want to go ahead and use any dark black mascara that you have and apply that to both your upper and lower lashes.  If you want an extra dramatic look, try using false lashes and then applying your mascara!

Once you have completed this step you have finished your look!  I hope that this was helpful and please share with me your thoughts and your results if you happen to try this look out!

"Outfit Of The Week"

This is the outfit that Kendall Jenner just recently wore on the Dosso Dossi Fashion Show Runway in Turkey this week.  This outfit is super cute and perfect for this time of year.  Of all the outfits that were worn I had to choose this one for my "Outfit Of The Week" because I am just IN LOVE with it.  Please share your opinions in the comment section down below, and let me know if this is something that you would wear!  So what I decided to do is every week find the latest trends and outfits from the runways and recreate them for under $100.00, if you follow my blog you know my saying is "You don't have to have a million bucks, to look & feel like a million bucks!".  So I did some researching and investigating and came up with my recreation of this sexy look!

Flat Front Textured Shorts - $15.90
So when I looked for the shorts, I paid attention to the details of the shorts Kendall is wearing.  They do not appear to be jean, but rather knit shorts with very minimal details.  I found these shorts from Forever 21 selling for only $15.90!  They are called Flat Front Textured Shorts.  They are absolutely adorable and can be worn in so many different ways!  They have a textured woven fabric, and a concealed side zipper.

Lace Bandeau - $9.90
The next piece to this outfit is the black bandeau that Kendall is wearing underneath the blazer.  I know not everyone feels comfortable wearing such a revealing & short shirt, so you can absolutely replace it with a black tube top to still achieve the same look!  When looking for a shirt to help recreate this outfit I did choose to stay with the same style shirt, and found this adorable and sexy bandeau from Wet Seal. It features a sheer floral lace body with scalloped trim, a long line design, and a comfy stretchy fit.

Collarless Open-Front Blazer - $27.90
The piece that I think really brings this whole outfit together is the white blazer.  The one that Kendall is wearing is very specific, it is not too long (it actually looks shorter than the average blazer) stopping right above her waist.  I had a hard time finding a blazer that was just like this one but definitely found multiple blazers that were similar.  I came across this blazer from Forever 21, although it is collarless, I thought it had very similar structure and tailoring. Its clean with very modern lines. Super-fine tailoring and lightly padded shoulders give it some structure.

The final piece to this look (since Kendall had no accessories) are the nude pumps!  I just thought the choice of shoe for this outfit was absolutely perfect, but there are so many other types of shoes and colors that can really work.  Try adding a pop of color by choosing a more bold shoe, like red or pink!  I found this shoe at Payless Shoe Source.  This pump features a faux suede upper, pointed toe, padded insole, wrapped 5 1/2" heel on a 2" platform,   and a durable outsole.

Hype Platform Pump - $19.99

So there you have it ladies! I recreated this look for under $100 and you can do it too!  Remember to share your opinions with me in the comment box below and let me know if you have any outfits you want me to recreate for my next "Outfit Of The Week".  Remember to follow me on here so you never miss a post and to check out my YouTube Channel!  Thanks! - Victoria

Sexy Date Night Makeup Tutorial!

First I started off by applying a primer to my entire face.  This is going to help your makeup stay in place and last longer!  Then I used my e.l.f conceal & highlighter and applied the concealer to my blemishes.  Tapping my fingers gently over the product to blend it in.

Then I took my Sephora 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation (check out my review on this product) and then used my Sephora 8HR Wear Mattifying Compact Foundation over my liquid foundation. Next I used my fan brush to contour my cheeks using my Sephora 101 Contour Palette.  I apply the product from the top of my ear down to the corner of my mouth, stopping about half-way down my cheek to help achieve a more natural finish.  Then I used a dark red blush above my cheekbones, and applied a highlighter to finish off the look. Moving on to the eyes, I first started by applying a light beige color all over my eyelids. Then I took a dark brown eyeshadow and applied it from the outer corner of my eye and worked it into the crease of my eye.  Above the brown eyeshadow I applied purple eyeshadow to add a little bit more definition to the look.

After applying my liquid eyeliner above my upper lashes and my mascara, I then took my gold glitter from the Revlon PhotoReady Lid, Line, Lash and applied it underneath my lower lashes.  To finish off this look completely I used my Maybelline Lip Liner in Nude, and my lipstick from Sephora!

Katy Perry Met Gala 2015 Inspired Makeup Look!

Katy Perry looked absolutely stunning at this years Met Gala.  She rocked a beautiful bronzed eye and coral lip.  This is a makeup look that can be worn during the day, or turned up for a hot late night look!  I will show you guys how to get this gorgeous look with my own little twist!
So of course I am going to start by priming my face.  This step isn't absolutely necessary but will help your makeup last longer (and who doesn't want that).  I am using my e.l.f illuminating face primer, and applying that all over my face.  Next I take my e.l.f conceal and highlighter and apply that under my eyes and on any blemishes!
Next I am taking my 10HR wear perfection foundation and then taking my 8HR wear perfection powder foundation and applying that over my liquid foundation.  Now I am taking the same e.l.f conceal & highlighter and applying that underneath my eyes to help give me a fresh, wide-awake glow!  Then I am going to take my Sephora 101 Contour Powder and use the medium brown color.  I apply that with my fan brush from the top of my ears down to the outer corner of my mouth.  On top of this powder I take a brownish-orange tone blush from my Macy's Palette and blend them together.  This is going to help us achieve the coral
tones that Katy Perry had in this look. Moving on to the eyes, I am using my Moonshadow Eyeshadow Palette from Sephora and applying the brown tone to my entire eyelid.  I am going to continue building my eyeshadow by using a darker brown tone on the outer corner of my eyelid and working that into my crease to help achieve a smokey-eye look.  At the beginning of my eyelid I am applying a white shimmery eyeshadow.  (For more details on how I did my eyeshadow check out my Tutorial) Lastly I take my Maybelline Lip Liner in Nude and line my lips and then fill them in with my Sephora Rouge Lipstick. There you have it, Katy Perry Met Gala inspired make-up look.  I know this isn't exactly the same thing, I played it down a little bit and added my own little twist but I think this look is really beautiful and totally wearable, please share your results or opinions on this look!

Kylie Jenner Teen Vogue Cover Inspired Makeup Look

So I when I came across this Magazine and saw Kylie's Makeup I knew this was something that I needed to recreate.  It is such a beautiful bronzed look and is absolutely perfect for this time of year.  Although the look seems very minimal it does take quite a bit of product to recreate!  I am going to show you how to look like a bronzed beauty this season, just like Kylie Jenner, in a few easy steps!  If you want more detailed instructions please check out my video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyLgnWY5zeQ.   So first I applied a primer, which is something that isn't necessary but does help
your makeup last longer!  Next you want to use a liquid foundation and apply that all over your face.  I am using my Sephora 10 HR Perfection Foundation in Ivory and applying it with my e.l.f foundation brush.  Next I am using my MAC Studio Fix Pressed Powder and applying that over my foundation. After this I use my e.l.f concealer and apply that underneath my eyes to help conceal any dark circles.  The next steps are what is really going to get us that bronzed goddess look.
Next I am using my Sephora 101 Contouring Palette and applying the product from the top of my ear down to the corner of my mouth, stopping about halfway down my cheek.  I also apply it to the top of my forehead right underneath my hairline.  Next I blend the product in to help make sure I have a natural finish. On top of the Sephora Contour Powder I apply my MAC Bronzer, this is going to help us really achieve this Bronzed look.  Next I take a medium brown bronzer/blush from my Makeup Palette from Macy's & apply that right above where I applied my bronzer.  On top of this I apply a beautiful brownish/red blush & finish off my cheeks with a highlighter.  Moving on to the eyes I started by applying a light/medium brown eyeshadow all over my eyelid.  Next I used a medium/dark brown & applied that from the outer corner of my eyelid to the middle of my crease.
To help finish off this bronzed eyeshadow look I used a beautiful shimmery gold eyeshadow and blended that in from the corner of my eye into the middle of my crease and then applied a highlighter right underneath my brow bone.  Underneath my lower lash line I used my e.l.f Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Gold (check out my review on this product http://victoriabeautyblogger.blogspot.com/2015/04/elf-eyes-lips-face-product-review.html ) Kylie's eyelashes are definitely what sticks out the most besides her bronzed cheeks so it is important to really lengthen and darken them! For my eyebrows I used my Sally Hansen Brow Defining Powder to achieve the bold brow Kylie has! For the lips I used my L.A Colors Lipgloss in Baby Pink for a nude glossy finish.  There you have it ladies, this sexy Bronzed look Kylie Jenner rocked on the cover recreated in a few easy steps! Please comment below and share your finished looks with me!  Don't forget to follow me on here for updates on new posts and Subscribe to my YouTube Channel! Thanks - Victoria

Drugstore Makeup Tutorial!

Hey ladies!! So speaking for myself, I have always loved Drugstore Tutorials for a number of different reasons.  One of those reasons being I can't afford to buy all new high-end makeup all the time, another reason being I love to learn new ways of making these products work to the fullest and which products are actually worth buying!  So I decided to do my own Drugstore Makeup Tutorial for you guys to show you a few of  the products that I love and how to use them to get the best result! I'm going to share step by step directions on how to get the above look and I will also attach the link to my video so you can see more detailed directions!  Hope you guys like it and please follow me on here and comment with any feedback, or questions you have! Please Subscribe to my YouTube Channel for updates on new videos :) Lets Get Started!!

So the first step is applying a face primer, I am using my NYC BB Crème 5 in 1 Skin Perfector.  This step is going to help your makeup stay in place and last longer, it's not absolutely necessary but it is definitely a step that's worth taking!  Next you want to apply a liquid foundation all over your face, I used my Covergirl TruBlend Liquid Foundation in Classic Ivory. Next I am going to use my NYC Sun n Bronze Powder and apply it to my cheekbones, blending from the outer corners of my mouth up to the upper corner of my ears. I also apply my bronzer to the rest of my face using less pressure and less product in order to give my cheeks a more contoured finish. Next I take my blush from e.l.f in Fuchsia Fusion and apply that right
above where I put the bronzer.  For the eyes I use an eyeshadow trio from NYC ( I can not figure out the name of it but will let you know when I do!).  These colors are in plum/purple and dark gray/silver.  First I apply the dark gray eyeshadow all over the base of my eye. Then I apply the dark purple to the outer corner of my eye and work it into the middle of my crease by continuing to blend it.  After the two colors are blended I lightly go over it with the light pink eyeshadow to help set the powder and also apply it under my eyebrow to use as a highlighter.

Next I take my e.l.f shimmer eyeliner pencil in black and apply it to my upper lash line and finish off my eyes with my e.l.f lengthening and defining mascara!  For my eyebrows I use the Sally Hansen Brow Defining Powder which also came with an angled brush to help easier define and shape your brows! Lastly I apply my Markwins Beauty Lipstick in Nouveau Pink :) There you have it ladies this look is super easy and super cute.  Remember you do not need to have only high-end beauty products to look & feel beautiful!  Remember to check out my YouTube Video for more detailed instructions on how to achieve this gorgeous look!
